Life has tested me in ways many people will never experience. I have overcome profound trauma, faced near homelessness while raising my children alone, battled cancer, and rebuilt my life more than once. Starting with no higher education, I put myself through college, built a successful business from the ground up, and then lost it all when cancer forced me to begin again.
